The book I am responding with is called "The Martian" by Andy Weir. As expected, this book takes place on the surface of Jupiter (totally not Mars, why do you ask?) and follows the survival tale of one Mark Watney as he struggles to survive against the harsh atmosphere of the planet. Mars is very unforgiving, and sets him back to square one in at least 3 places in the book, most of which involving extreme explosions. Mars has no water, so Mark must make his own by (literally) burning rocket fuel until the hydrogen and oxygen separate from the Hydrazine. He also tries to grow potatoes, and this plan ultimately fails.

The novel that I have selected for my Novel 1 Journal 2 project is called The Fifty-Minute Hour by Robert Mitchell. This novel contains 5 individual interviews conducted by Dr. Robert M. Lindner to patients in psychiatric facilities. Dr. Robert M. Lindner typically spends an hour interviewing the respected patients while trying to dissect the cause for their mental thinking and their reasoning for committing the crimes they committed (where applicable).

The title of the novel I am reading is Designated Bully and the author is GRIMZO. The setting of the novel is a Korean city, where the reader watches as the main character Kwon Daegun goes from working as a cashier to then getting a sketchy job acting as a high schooler. The time period seems to be set in the late 2000's as the teenagers have smartphones.
