I'm reading Under The Dome by Stephen King. I will create a poem about the main character Dale Barbara, or known as, Barbie.
I came into town just wanting to pass,
to be free and live my normal life,
but then came the dome, that trapped me inside
It's been at least a year, full of blood of the loved ones,
It will never be safe, with that Big Jim Rennie
I've protected and saved and was almost just hanged,
yet no matter what i do, things just get worse,
Oh when will the day come, when we get through the dome,
I just hope, that day comes soon so I can be free once
I'm reading Under The Dome by Stephen King. Throughout most of the pages, I come across many different words I don't quite understand.
Asphyxiated - to kill someone by depriving them of air
Exonerates - absolve someone from blame for a fault or wrongdoing
Cavernous - like a cavern in size or shape
Concur - to agree
Arrhythmia - a condition in which the heart beats with an irregular or abnormal rhythm
Pastorate - the office or period of office of a pastor
Pronominal - relating or serving to a pronoun
Bootlicker - an obsequious or overly deferential person; a toady
Flabbergasted - to surprise greatly
Bivouac - a temporary camp without tents or cover, used especially by soldiers or mountaineers
Mrs. Rennau of course! I hope you enjoy this new way of completing the Journal component of your Novel Project!
